Covid-19: Paragon Globe Donates 100,000 Face Masks To Johor State Government

Johor Bahru, 30 March 2020 – Paragon Globe Berhad (“Paragon Globe” or the “Company”) today pledged to donate a total of 100,000 pieces of 3-layer surgical face masks (“face masks”) to the Johor State Government to support the government in its efforts to address the safety needs of medical teams, relevant authorities and the Rakyat during the novel coronavirus disease (“COVID-19”) outbreak.

The first batch of 10,000 pieces of face masks was formally handed over to YAB Datuk IR. Haji Hasni Bin Mohammad, Menteri Besar Johor by Paragon Globe’s representatives, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng, Group Managing Director, Dato’ Sri Godwin Tan Pei Poh, Group Executive Director, Mr Gary Goh Soo Liang, Chief Executive Officer and Mr Tang Pei Hau, Development Manager of Joland Group in a brief ceremony held at Pejabat Menteri Besar Johor, Nusajaya, Johor.

Paragon Globe is coordinating the shipment of the remaining 90,000 pieces of face masks. These face masks, which are currently highly in demand, are in transit and Paragon Globe shall deliver it to the Johor State Government upon arrival.

Commenting on the donation of 100,000 pieces of face masks, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan said, “The initiative of donating face masks during the nationwide Movement Control Order period is part of our comprehensive corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) programme, where we believe that our Company should help Johor community in our war against the COVID-19.”

“We hope such contribution can support our medical teams, relevant authorities and the Rakyat who working around the clock to combat the continuous outbreak of the COVID-19 during this crucial time,” he added.
