Johor Bahru, 10 July 2022 – Paragon Badminton Cup 2022 mainly sponsored and co-organised by Paragon Globe Berhad (“PGB”) and 89 Team was held at Just In Sports Centre Johor Bahru from July 9, 2022 to July 10, 2022. This sponsorship is in line with corporate responsibility of PGB to promote a harmonious culture through sports as well as to support the nation’s pursuit for global sports excellence.
Around 350 pax of Malaysian badminton players have participated in this tournament. The participants enthusiastically joined the tournament and portrayed a good sportsmanship.
Paragon Badminton Cup 2022 was graced and officiated by Y.B. Tuan Mohd Hairi bin Mad Shah, Johor Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Human Resource Committee Chairman on July 9, 2022 with the presence of the Executive Chairman of PGB, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng.
The two-days tournament was successfully conducted in four categories namely the Men’s Double Open, Men’s Double Close, Mixed Double and Veteran Double. A total prize worth up to RM20,000 was offered to the winners across all categories.
The tournament was kicked off bright and early at 8.30am on Saturday July 9, 2022 with a opening ceremony and a presentation of souvenirs to show the gratitude to Y.B. Tuan Mohd Hairi bin Mad Shah.

The tournament ended at 3.00 pm on July 10, 2022, with a prize-giving ceremony for each category of the winners by the Executive Chairman of PGB, Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng.
