Johor Bahru, 14 October 2019 –– Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. It is a time of forgiveness within the Muslim community and a time for strengthening of bonds among relatives and friends. Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru hosted a Hari Raya Charity event with the orphans from Persatuan Kebajikan Darul Hanan, Rumah Barkat Anak-Anak Yatim Johor and Rumah Anak Yatim & Kebajikan Ar Rayyan at the Café Para Para on 21 Jun 2019. Over 150 children from aged 6 to 17 years old were invited as honorable guests to the event.
This event is part of Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to promote the spirit of togetherness and share the joy for Hari Raya month.
Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru Managing Director Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng was present to show his support in this meaningful event. Datuk Bandar Johor Bahru, YB Dato’ Haji Amran Bin A. Rahman was also invited as the VIP guest to share the joy of giving and togetherness with the orphans.
The event started with the children arriving at 2.30pm and were ushered by the Management and Staffs of Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru followed by ‘Doa Selamat’ and ended with group photograph session.
The children were entertained by special violin performance by Aqmal Daniel, games and clown performance by ‘Uncle Fishy’. The children were not only treated to the sumptuous meal, they were showered with ‘Duit Raya’ and Raya goodies bag contributed by Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Johor Bahru.
All the Head of Departments were involved with the distribution of the goodies bag while the ‘Duit Raya’ were distributed to the orphans by Paragon Globe Berhad and Grand Paragon Hotel Managing Director Dato’ Sri Edwin Tan Pei Seng and Datuk Bandar Johor Bahru YB Dato’ Haji Amran Bin A. Rahman.
The hotel General Manager Yeo Siu Ling said that we hope through this humble gesture, these children get to fulfill their wishes to celebrate Raya in a joyous mood. We also hope having such event will give us an opportunity to do our part and to give back to the communities.
The hotel has created a CSR tagline “Our Commitment for a better world.” In line with the tagline, the hotel would like to organize more of such CSR activities in the future as event like this willl also contributes valuably to close relations between the hotel and the local community.
