Occupational Health and Safety

In FY2025, PGB maintained a zero-fatality and zero lost-time injury record across all employees and contractors, reflecting the effectiveness of our robust safety governance and proactive monitoring. Total workman hours rose significantly to 1,196,342 hours, with no major legal actions, fines or sanctions related to occupational health and safety. We also advanced safety awareness through structured training programmes, with 269 participants trained (17 employees and 252 contractors) on occupational health and safety standards. While lower than the peak in FY2024 due to the completion of induction programmes, the sessions continued to deliver strong outcomes in compliance, emergency readiness and practical risk management. Beyond compliance, we strengthened a culture of vigilance and accountability through regular site inspections, HSE Committees, toolbox meetings and certified first aid training, ensuring workers are empowered to actively drive safety practices. These achievements underscore our unwavering commitment to protecting lives, embedding a zero-harm mindset, and positioning safety as a core leadership priority in sustaining long-term resilience and stakeholder trust.
