Performance Highlights
Waste Management

0.61 MT Diverted from Waste Disposal

Waste Management

In FY2025, PGB strengthened its waste management practices with improved data tracking and sustainability initiatives. Paper consumption reached 185 reams, with printing costs at RM18,387, while we continued promoting digital-first processes to reduce resource use. For the first time, we monitored non-hazardous construction waste across new projects, recording a total of 193.55 MT waste generated, of which 0.61 MT was successfully diverted from disposal. We also advanced community-driven initiatives, including the "Donate Clothes, Share Love" campaign, which collected 91.8 kg of clothing for reuse, supporting circularity and social inclusion. Importantly, there were no incidents of non-compliance, fines or penalties related to waste management during the year. These achievements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to 3R practices, environmental responsibility and data transparency, while contributing positively to sustainability goals.

65.87 MWh Energy Used

Climate Change and Action

In FY2025, PGB advanced its climate action agenda by strengthening energy tracking and initiating its first year of GHG emissions reporting. Total energy consumption reached 65.87 MWh, reflecting our commitment to transparency and efficiency in resource management. For the first time, we established a comprehensive GHG baseline, recording total emissions of 129.14 tCO₂e, comprising Scope 1: 2.33 tCO₂e, Scope 2: 50.98 tCO₂e, and Scope 3: 75.83 tCO₂e from business travel and employee commuting. This data was externally assured, ensuring accuracy and credibility. We complemented these efforts with energy-saving initiatives such as LED lighting replacements, energy conservation practices, and awareness campaigns, alongside our collaboration with GreenRE to embed low-carbon, climate-resilient design principles into new developments. Importantly, there were no incidents of non-compliance related to energy or emissions reporting. These achievements mark a significant milestone in building a reliable climate disclosure framework and demonstrate our commitment to Malaysia's ambition of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Water Management

454L Rainwater Collected

Water Management

In FY2025, PGB strengthened its water management practices by expanding monitoring to include both municipal water use and rainwater harvesting. Total water consumption was 1,269 litres, comprising 815 litres of municipal water and 454 litres of harvested rainwater, demonstrating progress in reducing reliance on external supply through circular water use initiatives. Rainwater collected was applied for non-potable purposes such as tyre washing and dust control at selected project sites, supporting operational efficiency and resource conservation. We also maintained full compliance with all water-related regulatory requirements, with zero incidents of non-compliance or effluent discharge violations recorded during the year. This reflects the robustness of our governance measures, from Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) compliance to engagement of licensed contractors for safe wastewater management. Our commitment to efficiency is further reinforced through property designs that integrate rainwater harvesting systems and water-saving fittings, as well as ongoing conservation initiatives across office operations. These achievements underscore our dedication to responsible resource stewardship, operational resilience and long-term sustainability.
